Container status by port

German ports are checked live — with the same mechanism we use on orders. For Rotterdam we point you to the operator portals, and the rest we check for you.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the live status for German ports come from?

From the same mechanism we use when handling orders: our system queries the EUROGATE (Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven), HHLA (Hamburg) and NTB (Bremerhaven) terminal systems directly. That is why a check takes from several seconds up to ~2 minutes - we ask the real system, not a copy of the data.

Why is the number of checks limited?

Every check is a real query against a terminal system. The limit (a few checks per 10 minutes) protects the tool from abuse and keeps it available for everyone. For bigger volumes simply place an order - we monitor our clients' containers continuously.

What does "Not at the terminal" mean?

The terminal system does not know this number. Most common reasons: the container has not arrived yet, has already left, sits at another terminal (e.g. HHLA instead of EUROGATE in Hamburg) or in another port. Check the other system of the same port before concluding the container is missing.

The container has left but the MRN is still open - what now?

A classic case: the physical export happened, but the MRN registration is missing in the port system and the office of exit never confirmed the exit. We close such MRNs in ZAPP/EMP, BHT, WHT, Portbase and APCS - usually within hours.
