IE599 / CC599CAES/ECS messages (export)draft — under review
Context: Customs office of export → declarant (after confirmation from the office of exit)

What it means: Electronic confirmation that the goods physically left the EU customs territory. Since 31 Oct 2024 the AES message is designated CC599C (formerly IE599) — for zero-rate VAT both have the same evidential value. This is the document every exporter waits for.

What to do next: Archive the message (XML/PDF) for your VAT records. If the CC599C does not arrive after the vessel departs — the MRN was most likely not closed in the port system; exactly the case for CloseMRN.
