IE529 and IE599: customs release and confirmation of exit

Assignment of an MRN, release for export and confirmation that goods have left the EU are separate stages. Message names and systems vary between countries; CC528C, CC529C and CC599C are used in Poland's AES/ECS2 PLUS.

Acceptance and release

In Poland's AES/ECS2 PLUS, CC528C records acceptance of the declaration and assignment of an MRN. CC529C records release for export by the office of export. The former IE529 is a release message, not an advance notification of exit or proof that the goods have left the EU.

Exit result

The office of exit supervises departure and sends its result to the office of export. The office of export then sends CC599C to the declarant. Read the result code: B1 can indicate refusal to allow exit. Terminal gate-in and loading are different events.

If confirmation is missing

Send the MRN, documents and transport history to the party responsible for clearance. CloseMRN can review available port statuses and recommend next steps. Formal customs action on another party's declaration requires proper authority.
